Movement in my classroom is essential for students' learning and engagement. Research shows a need for students to move in order to be better focused and motivated.
It can be challenging for students to sit for long periods of times. I try to provide opportunities for students to get up and move as often as I can. Having ball chairs in the classroom will just be one more way I can provide movement activities for students.
In the classroom, I will utilize the balance ball chairs by having them available to students who need them. I will use some at my table where I meet with students in small groups and the others students can use at their seats. I believe this will help students release their extra energy and keep them learning and having fun in the classroom.
