It is hard to define the "perfect working spot" because it is different for everyone! Some of my students like using a beanbag, while others prefer to stay at their desks. I want my students to grow in all areas of their learning, and I want to provide them with a variety of work spaces in our room. Through research, I have seen fantastic results from classrooms with open seating options for their students. I know my students would benefit as well, and I can't wait to see their excitement, as well as engagement, increase with our new rug and flexible seating options.
