Recent research is showing the benefits (higher academic performance, better health, and improved behavior) of providing students with seating choices not only school chairs.
The donations for this project will improve my classroom by providing students with different choices of seating.
The list of choices for my students includes balance balls, peanut balls, activity trays, stools and scoop rockers.
With this project, I am looking to cover the multiple intelligence I have in my classroom. I am also looking to help students focus better which will cause better learning, better understanding of concepts, and improving grades. Ultimately I am looking to help my students improve their English language skills.
Our school serves students in grades K-4. Last year my district opened the bilingual program at my school. Because of this and rezoning, our school grew almost 40% in population last year which made hard for administration and PTO to fulfill projects like this.
