I am seeking to start a LEGO Robotics team at my elementary school. Although I teach 4th grade, I would offer participation on the team to any child at my K-5 school. We will meet weekly to build, practice, and complete the objectives showcased in the program's field map and mission model. We will then bring our robots to community events and competitions.
Utilizing the LEGO Mindstorm kits in our robotics club will empower students from a low performing, high impact school to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for many of the students involved!
