I am in the process of starting up a new art program at a charter high school in Queens, NY. Although I have been given a budget for supplies and the majority of the setup of the program and studio space, the students also need these books to help them grow their skills as well as giving them tools to build upon their literacy skills inside the art studio.
The Daily Book of Art and How To Draw What You See will give them art skills and literacy skills building wrapped up in a neat little package. My hope is to not only allow them to grow as an artist but also as a whole student.
