The tablets will be used in every subject. We will use them as e-readers for independent reading time, for math drills, and quiz game reviews. The students will be able to use the tablets for guided whole group lessons as well as small group and independent practice.
Since we will have access to Google Classroom for the first time ever this year, students will be able to complete assignments on their own using the tablets. Students who aren't able to use the internet at home will be able to complete enrichment activities and Google Classroom assignments in during school hours.
In addition to Google Classroom, apps like Nearpod, Epic, and Kahoot! will be used to reach students across all subjects. Whole group lessons will be more interactive because students will have direct interaction with their screens while following lessons on Google Classroom and Nearpod.
Reading is more interesting for students will added animations from apps like Epic. Also, reviewing for science and history is much more engaging in game format using Kahoot! and Quizzez. Allowing students to experience a 21st century approach to learning will prepare them for our always advancing world of technology as well as keeping them engaged as they acquire the knowledge and skills they need to be successful.
