My students need various learning tools, furniture, and supplies to help them access the general curriculum. I want to provide my students with a safe, welcoming environment with the right tools to be able to learn, participate, and interact with the world. My goal as an educator is to provide my students with the appropriate tools needed to improve their reading, writing, and mathematical skills. To achieve this, we need more access to technological resources that can help with their math and reading skills, manipulatives, pencils, dry erase boards and markers. The Amazon Fire tablets will be a fun and engaging tool to use with students during centers, and small group instruction. Students will have access to a variety of reading and math apps. Textbooks can be read aloud to students who struggle with reading at grade level. The tablet can be used as a writing tool for students who struggle with writing. The ETAhand2mind Manipulatives will benefit all students because it's hands on and the students are actively involved. It reaches all the different type of learners in my classroom. The ETAhand2mind Manipulatives will be a part of the math, reading, and science block. It’s another access point for my students to learn and achieve access to the general curriculum. The fidget bands, yoga exercise ball, sensory sand, and toys will be used to help my students stay calm and focused during classroom instruction. The Scholastic Magazine and TIME for Kids will allow my students to have access to current news and topics that are happening around the world at their reading level and comprehension ability. My students will be able to access the same material and to the general curriculum as their peers.
