These materials will catch my students attention, align to curriculum, and allow me to hold small reading groups to boost student reading levels. Not only do they align with the curriculum but they are high interest. In order for students to be successful in other areas of school, they need to be able to read on grade level. The books will give my students the chance to learn about topics that influence them daily such as sports, community, weather, and the solar system. Students will be able to relate to these topics which will enhance discussion and retention. Thank you.
