The MacBook requested will allow me to maintain direct communication with my students and their parents, which is essential in special education. This MacBook will also allow me to interact with my students during this time of uncertainty in education, a time that I feel they need to know that they have the upmost support from me. My students need to know that although we aren't currently together at school learning that they will continue to receive the best learning experiences in every way. Having a reliable, up to date laptop will also help me with writing IEPs, conducting virtual meetings, creating and implementing digital resources for my students, and make learning more engaging and fun. I have to create the majority of my intervention lessons and resources, as well as, maintain important documentation and data due to the unique needs that my students have due to their disabilities and this laptop would provide me the ability to do so. Finally, this laptop would continue to benefit my students after distance learning has subsided, in that I will use it for everything...lesson plans, creating lessons, creative projects, parent communication, presentations in the classroom, documentation and so much more!
