Our classroom would benefit from an iPad in the classroom in many ways. To start, our new reading curriculum has many digital resources that could be accessed in small group settings/rotations. At this time, our only option is to do whole class learning or take the entire class to an open computer lab time. We also use the Daily 5. One of the stations is Listen to Reading. There are many apps and digital books that students can use to hear what good reading is supposed to sound like. We would like to use this tool to increase student reading fluency. There are many apps that help students record their reading so that they can hear it played back. In addition, our students would benefit from using the iPad to create science and social studies videos, and demonstrations as presentations. It would allow them an opportunity to show learning in another way.
