The iPads will allow us to install communication and reading programs (e.g. proloquo2go, coughdrop) that will allow the students the opportunity to have a device that can allow for them to strive for independence by communicating their wants and needs and to participate in activities that they otherwise might not be able to do. Some of the students have reading difficulties. It will allow students to have stories read to them which allows for more independence. The iPads will be used to facilitate independence with programs that allow the students to listen to stories without having to have someone there to do it for them. The donations will help give a voice to the voiceless.

About my class
