My project is to have flexible seating options such as stools and balance balls for my diverse learners. Children with autism disorders, ADHD, ADD, ODD, bipolar disorder, as well as many behavioral issues do not respond well to a chair and desk option all day long. They must have the option to change seating throughout the day in order to be engaged in lessons. By changing seating options and activities they do not become bored and they are more apt to pay attention and become involved in the lesson being taught. By having flexible seating students will have a choice in their learning which can make all the difference to some students.
