Support Mrs. Munoz's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
My students learn better visually and many are nonreaders. Therefore, they do a lot of assignments with visual supports, such as adapted books with pictures or worksheets with visual answer choices. My students can understand and complete these assignments better when their visual supports are in color. Often when they are in black and white, they struggle to see what the picture is or understand its true meaning.
I also have students that are visually impaired and having assignments in color will be very beneficial. They are able to make out some color, and therefore assignments that are in color are the only way they can see their work. Unfortunately, my school only offers a black and white printer to the teachers. If I had a colored printer I could give them assignments in color, which would benefit them greatly.
