I like to use fun ways to bring students into the literature. Reading and books should be fun and too often books are made out to be these boring, foreign objects that adults sometimes force kids to read. Some of my children love to read, and some I do have to push to read because no one ever taught them to use their imaginations to picture the stories. I like to use hands on materials such as art projects, games, and interactive discussions. This is my first year, therefore, I have started out with no or little supplies. I use what I have and make it work, what really matters is my attitude towards the stories and my students.
