Students need the ability to be creative in the classroom. I would like to give my students the chance to think outside of the "box" in my classroom. My School is a predominantly low-income campus. I plan on using Virtual Reality to take my students on virtual field trips to places that they have only dreamed about. Virtual reality can also be used to enhance lessons in the classroom by providing students with real world encounters that can build on their knowledge.
How amazing would it be to have a STEM area in the classroom! I would use the LEGO base plates to create a “LEGO WALL”! This wall will inspire creativity in all subjects. Students could use it to build on and showcase their math skills. There are also many STEM based games in the cart. These games will promote critical thinking while having fun in the process.
Coding is awesome! You may ask why do students need a drone in the classroom? The answer is so they can build on their coding skills. coding with Problem solving, persistence, math skills, determination and most importantly Critical Thinking. By applying what they learn about coding they will be able to control the DRONE!!! I want my students to experience more than pencil and paper based lessons. I want them to reach their full learning potential with out being held back by their circumstances at home.
