Having more access to technology in the classroom will allow our class to work individually and in groups to complete engaging lessons that are aligned with standards. Some of these programs include quizziz, kahoot, nearpod, iready, and minecraft.
In addition to providing the teacher with instant data that will aid in providing more relevant instruction, these devices will provide the students with free time incentives that enhance classroom behavior and productivity overall. Our classroom currently has 2 non-potable devices to give students the opportunity for some activities. Having 7 additional devices that are portable would allow us to have collaborative group projects and team building challenges to take our learning to a new level.
Flexible seating encourages children to share, take turns, be productive and focus. Young children benefit from flexible seating because when they have to sit still for too long they can become unproductive and distracted. My students love being chosen for flexible seating and do their best to keep those privileges. We would greatly appreciate help in providing more options in our classroom, as we currently have 18 students but only 4 opportunities for flexible seating. We are grateful for all of your donations and are excited for a fun, engaging, and innovative learning experience this year!
