Support Mrs. Ochs' classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
This project will provide students with access to social emotional books within the classroom. These books will also be aligned with social skill lesson plans to teach students a variety of skills. Some of the other items requested such as fidgets, resistance bands and wobble cushions will help students to remain focused in the classroom. These resources will be shared among my students as well four other special education teachers and our PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Support) team.
Many of our students have experienced or come from unimaginable situations at home and are in need of basic social skills and emotional self regulation strategies. Many of my students need to learn basic things such as how to regulate their emotions, personal responsibility, social awareness, empathy, and relationship building. Even the higher grade levels benefit from learning these skills that which will not only help them in school, but in life. We want our students be become not only productive members of society but become compassionate humans. Please help support our students to help ensure we create a better society for everyone!
