My students transition multiple times throughout the day; switching classes, going to lockers, whole group to small group, dismissal, etc. With all these movements, students have to get up from their seats. Having up to 30+ students in each class, this can be a challenging and noisy time. These chair socks would assist in the smoothness and help to create blissfully silent transitions.
This project will help make a difference by improving noise reduction in my classroom as well as not damaging the chairs and floors.
At my school, desks and chairs are not a common fixer upper and thus, teachers have to be chair engineers to come up with ways to maintain our furniture.
