Many of my students struggle with comprehending texts independently. My most challenged students benefit from hearing the text as they read along, and research supports that read-aloud leads to comprehension and fluency growth. The listening station would allow me to provide small groups of students with an opportunity to hear a recorded version of the text. Additionally, the copies of No-Fear Shakespeare will give all my students a much-needed bridge between modern vernacular and Shakespearean tongue.
These simple tools will give students access to literature and ideas that were previously inaccessible. Every student deserves an equal chance to engage with these concepts and stories, and the listening station and No-Fear editions will provide them with an opportunity to do just that.
