The listening center that was chosen will encourage my students to become better readers. This item will be able to read to them and allow them to repeat what they heard.
I chose the listening center because a group of students can be listening to the same book on their level at the same time, while I'm helping another group on their level. The sets of books that I chose, I did so as a good starting place for the kids to read; the activities for the Level Readers A-N will further help them with fluency, recall of the story and make them better readers. Our children want to read so bad, and the school and I simply don't have the resources or the money to furnish these items. I love to read and I want to encourage our children to read; they have to be able to read and understand what they're reading to survive in the world; sign a lease, get a job, cook, read a map, the sky is the limit when they can read. Hopefully by reading better, they get out of poverty and do and go great places in life!!!
The school we are at is lacking certain resources, and these items would be greatly appreciated.
