Having a gathering space for students is a great part of building our community. We'll use the Milky Play Literacy Rug for reading time, group instruction, and for relaxing with a good book! It has great reminders tied to science and literacy, and will give us a central location for becoming a cohesive and focused group of 2nd graders! As a teacher who loves diving deep into the world of literacy, I appreciate the value of a gathering space. When students are close enough to hear every bit of a story, they are engaged, imaginative, and excited. I love waking my students' love of books by sharing my own passion for reading with them. Your donation will go toward making our classroom a warm, welcoming environment where we can make mistakes, take risks, and grow together. As the new year begins, we thank you so much for your support!
