My students will use this technology to access different free online libraries, such as Epic!. Our classroom and school have wonderful libraries but for reluctant readers it can be hard to find books at the right level, that matches their interests, and holds their attention. Epic! and other online libraries let students take a survey on types of books they like and will then recommend more books based on their survey. Epic! will also track books they have read, will give them an option to take a quiz on it, and rewards students for reading an entire book. Having classroom devices will allow my students to access these free online libraries and will foster a positive reading culture to help these students to become lifelong readers.
