My students will be learning music theory and notation, and I need to be able to show examples that access all kinds of different learning styles. The best way to do this is with an LCD projector. I can use a projector as various learning tools such as: white board, video, graphs, projecting examples of music, all without wasting other materials. I look forward to being able to reach my students in all forms of communication with an LCD projector added to my classroom. I also know that all of my music standards, especially contextual relevancy, can be reached through the access of this learning tool to model objectives like musical form, rhythm as it relates to math, body alignment and breathing as it relates to meditation, conducting skills, and may other things. I ask students to have a growth mindset and I want to use technology to aid in that growth.
