The tables will be used so students can sit four to table, instead or six or seven students to a table. Students need to be able to have their own space, while still learning to cooperatively work with others.
Through cooperative learning structures students will be more engaged with specific structures to help students grow academically and socially. By using cooperative learning structures my students will not only grow academically, but also socially. Many companies hire employees based on their social skills, not their job skills. Many of my students are lacking needed social skills to be successful in the future.
