The benefits of flexible seating include: Choice-students feel empowered by having a certain degree of choice and control over the environment; physical health-physical activity is related to higher academic performance, better health, and improved behavior; Comfortable-flexible seating encourages students to find the best position to stay calm, focused and efficient; collaboration-flexible seating allows students to quickly and easily pair, work in groups, or discuss as a class-without having to move mountains of heavy tables to build Eye contact; and communication-a flexible seat can improve advanced thinking skills, such as emotion and problem-solving skills and conflict resolution.
