Flexible Seating is important and becoming more of a need within the 21st century classrooms. My students would benefit from stability and balance balls to help them focus and be more attentive in the classroom for all subjects. Research shows that. "When students sit on stability balls, both sides of their brains are engaged in keeping their bodies centered on the balls. And when the brain is stimulated, it's more focused on learning. Not only is the brain better suited to processing new information, young minds are also better able to concentrate on exams, note-taking, class discussions, and other aspects of classroom learning."
Sensory tools, like stress balls and fidget toys, in the classroom will help my students focus and regulate their emotions throughout their day. They will help keep them busy and more attentive in the classroom. I would like to provide many options for sensory within the room.
