This year I want to help immerse my students into the lives, culture and total environment of the places we read about in textbooks, but never get to see. Sure, I use technology and we see pictures and videos, but to allow my students the best experience I need to take them to these countries half way across the world. The best way I can do this is through Virtual Reality!
Virtual Reality headsets will allow my students the total package! I can create lesson plans and curriculum that will allow the students to really feel like they are in Israel, Saudi Arabia, India, Kenya and South Africa, just to name a few of the places we discuss during the school year.
The Virtual Reality headset can be used for years and future classes. It is not a project that is disposable in just one academic year; instead, it will impact many students in years to come!
