Our school provides online math and reading programs helping students practice and excel in these areas. Many of my students do not have access to technology in order to use many of these programs, which are available to them. These iPads allows my students to work on and improve their abilities in math and reading here at school. The accessibility of these iPads allows my students to work to further achieve their goals in these programs. Technology improves basic skills critical for them to engage successfully in higher-order thinking and applied learning. They have a yearning to explore and learn. I aim to giving them that opportunity. Technology further provides opportunities for children to gain the necessary skills set to prepare them for success in school and their future. Many developmentally appropriate computer programs increases a child’s readiness to learn Reading and Math. Technology provides basic skills in which children must have competency in order to be successful in school; skills critical for children to engage successfully in higher-order thinking and applied learning.
