Hello! We have an Immersion classroom. My students spend half of their day speaking, reading, and writing in a second language. We are building an environment where we are a family. We speak up for ourselves and our friends, and we do shout outs every day.
We have a library that could be described as "a work in progress". We currently have less than enough books for each of my students to read a book at the same time. In other words, we have more students than books! My students are loving having the books we have in the classroom, but we are short on them.
We need books in different levels for each of my students in an Immersion and inclusion setting. I want to provide for them quality and varied resources that enable them to overcome all the challenges their social and economical situations present. As our school mantra says, we will be "learning differently; growing together."
