My students will be using this handheld camcorder to create meaningful videos. My students love technology, the freedom to be creative, and being in front of a camera. So it makes sense that using a video camera is a sure way to get students engaged and excited about learning.
Videos have the power to teach, to open eyes, the power to change. I want my students to have the opportunity to create videos and let their voices be heard. My students have already brainstormed ideas for an anti-bullying video. They have great messages to share, a video camera is just one way to help them reach others.
