My classroom would benefit from having tables for many reasons.
Students often work in teams of four. Sitting at tables instead of desks allow students to feel closer with each other.
I also teach a low math group that consists of 16 students. Some of those students have special needs. During this time I have several assistants in the room and I use math centers. Tables will aid in working in centers and allowing my assistants in the room a place to sit with students they are working with.
My goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment for my students.
