These young filmmakers will use the camcorder and microphone to create videos and public service announcements for our school and community to raise awareness about topics such as bullying, cyber bullying, drug use, teen suicide, depression, and many more.
The students hope these videos will motivate children, teens, and adults to encourage young people to get help and support friends with mental health challenges.
These passionate videographers will use the camcorder and microphone to create video entries for several competitions, including the Directing Change - Program and Student Film Competition sponsored by the California Mental Health Services Authority.
By donating to this project, you will help students inspire their younger sisters and brothers, and peers to create social change, to know the warning signs for suicide and how to support a friend, and to initiate informative conversations about mental health challenges.
