It is important for students to learn about current events in order to help them become informed citizens and community members. The students are informally exposed to news through the internet and television. My aim is to bring in TIME for Kids in order to allow them to explore and analyze the news content themselves, in order to form their own informed opinions. This subscription will help my students explore and increase their knowledge of the world around them. TIME for Kids will help the students carefully examine nonfiction literature that directly relates to their lives, as citizens of a global community
