For the 2017-2018 school year, I will be introducing flexible seating into my classroom. I have no previous experience with flexible seating but have read many articles about it and they prove how beneficial it is. For many years I would say I was a very traditional teacher with a very traditional classroom. But after doing a lot of reading I believe my students would benefit from more movement.
After researching some of the items that would benefit and put up with the abuse of a 3rd-grade student, I realized the wobble stools and cushions, bouncy bands and yoga balls would be a great start to introduce flexible seating into my classroom.
