During whole group instruction, I plan to engage in learning with my students in a central meeting location, which, for many teachers, is typically "the carpet". My students, currently don't have one and tile floor is not the most comfortable place to sit.
The donations to this project will provide a warmer, more inviting space where comfortable minds learn best! The last thing I want my students to be thinking about during instruction is how badly they don't want to be sitting on the floor.
I would also like to create a cozy reading corner with the second rug for independent reading. It's hard to enjoy a good book when you're uncomfortable.
