Having a good science curriculum will enable my students to think outside a textbook and challenge their thinking. My 8th grade students come to me with a very basic knowledge of science vocabulary. It is my job to strengthen their skills in one year so they can produce results on the state test.
Until this my students lab skills are poor, because they have very little experience analyzing basic data acquired from labs. I will utilize the LIFE SCIENCE curriculum to help my students think outside the ordinary books and binders. I will challenge them think critically and challenge their higher-level thinking skills.
