I want to implement a revolutionary teaching technique called "Flipped class." This will allow me to create a video for each lesson, probably about 10 minutes in length, which each student will then view as homework. This will free class time for activities rather than lectures, and will free me to teach students one-on-one.
It will also allow students to replay and spend extra time on any portions of the lesson they have trouble with, which will be a great help to special needs or English language challenged students, as well as students that are just having trouble with the concepts.
I hope to receive video-recording equipment, some tablets in my classroom for the students who don't have computer or internet access and headphones so they can view my videos without disturbing others.
