This year, I began to implement flexible seating in my classroom. My students have access to different types of seating, such as high desks, a low table, traditional desks, and the carpet. Currently, my students who sit on the carpet sit on pillows. While this is more exciting than sitting at a traditional desk, it does not do much for their posture.
It is hard for any student to sit still for eighty-four minutes. That is how long our classes are. These four video rockers I'm requesting will, not only help the students improve their posture, but it will allow for their natural tendency to wiggle and move around! They are also really comfortable.
My students will LOVE having this seating option in my class. They have already said that the flexible seating makes them want to come to my class.
