The benefits of sensory experiences of children with autism are exponential! Research has proven that sensory activities are linked to stimulation of the brain which creates neural pathways. This allows the child to be more successful not only in their educational future but, their everyday lives. Sensory play supports language development, cognitive growth, problem solving skills, communication, and calming skills. Our young leaders need a place where they can develop these skills.
By donating, you will help create a sensory room where our young leaders with Autism and other disabilities can engage in sensory experiences, which will improve their overall development.
Currently, our young leaders with Autism do not have a place where they can engage in the beneficial sensory activities needed for their development. We do not have a swing that our young leaders with special needs can enjoy. By donating you will help provide them with a new swing and other sensory activities to be enjoyed in a safe environment.
