After taking an online class titled "A Moving Body, A Growing Mind" I have become SO aware of the importance of movement within the classroom. As humans, we learn and grow through moving. I have been brainstorming ways to integrate this notion into my 6th grade Language Arts class. One feasible method I plan to use is FLEXIBLE SEATING. Flexible seating will allow my students to move around the room. By selecting a spot that works for one's personal learning style/level of energy, students will be more comfortable, engaged, and ready to learn. In order to create a variety of "seating" choices, I ask for your help and support. Please consider donating to Mrs. Pope's classroom, and all funds will be put toward the following... -Stability Balls -Yoga Mats -Desk Raisers -High stools/Raised Tables -Glider/Rocking Chair -Floor cushions/small area rugs
