Technology is essential in the classroom to promote innovation in learning. iPads not only provide opportunity for students to create projects using a variety of applications, but they also allow students to work collaboratively using programs like Drop Box or Google Docs. iPads were available at my previous school, allowing my kids to create student directed films picking apart our class novels, interactive comic books showing off knowledge of plot structure, and even songs written and recorded by students about the steps in a math problem. iPads also provide students with the opportunity to take their learning outside the classroom. The kids are able to take pictures of real-life plant and animal adaptations to further examine in the classroom or they can use apps to study the live locations of stars in broad daylight. The possibilities that come with iPads in education are truly endless. Thank you so much for your support of these kids and their learning.
