This project would allow our students to begin basic robotics and coding in order to incorporate the Engineering Design Process and STEM activities. The Sphero robots will ensure that our students have the same advantages as other students in order to compete in careers in science and engineering. Sphero robots allow the students to build a robot and then by using the school's ipads the students can then build codes to program the Sphero to do what they want it to do. This will give them real world problem solving situations, that they have to solve through coding the Sphero robots. Kissimmee is the perfect location for Science and engineering careers because of the distance from Kennedy Space Center, Medical City and Lockheed Martin. As well as all of the opportunities for computer science at places like Universal Studios and Walt Disney World. Our students will benefit from this project because it will give them the helping hand they need to be successful in their future endeavors.
