This being the first year of AP African American Studies, we teachers have to find our own. Well, the resources that will help the students align with the College Board's "curriculum" and makes it relevant! I teach Advanced Placement African American Studies for 11th and 12th graders (primarily. We have an open-enrollment policy for our AP program, so many of our students are not your prototypical AP student (in terms of being hand-picked according to GPA to ensure a high pass rate). Many of my students will be first generation college attendees.
