Many elementary students have asked me if they will ever get a chance to use robots. However, while we have a robotics team at the school, it is only open to middle school students. Learning how to program robots will help my students learn valuable lifelong skills, such as perseverance, problem solving, and teamwork, in a fun and engaging way. Getting these robots will allow our younger students to learn those skills through an activity they already want to do. It will also allow me to enhance and reinforce the coding curriculum that is already in place for older students.
Giving my students skills, they will need in the future, is my goal, and I know they will gain them with these robots. I cannot wait to see my students enthusiastically learn skills they can use for the rest of their lives.
