I work at a Title I school where 100% of our students receive free lunch. Stresses at home make it a struggle for many students to arrive at school ready to learn. This year we decided to incorporate mindful practices into our classrooms as a way to help support our students learning. Each kindergarten classroom has started practicing Yoga after lunch and already we have seen what an impact it has had on our students' abilities to calm themselves and focus on doing their best each day. Our students need yoga mats to help us continue to create a safe, calm, mindful environment.

About my class
