Hello, thank you for funding some STEM materials for my class! My students would like to learn more hands-on. The magna-tiles will help them learn shapes and magnetism in a deeper way. Phonics is a huge focus in first grade. To help my struggling readers the word building blocks will give them a hands-on activity similar to LEGOs. Any classroom can always use more books. The three my students would love involve STEM in creative and fun ways.
My students can't wait to get their hands on tools that will help them love learning. Separately, these materials are great. The magna-tiles get students to figure out how manipulating shapes can make different things. Combining them in lessons can make them even more powerful. Making short vowel words that we find in one of the books could keep students better engaged.
They all would be great options for inside recess as well.
