In Kindergarten we are learning more than just academics, we are learning to co-exist with others of diverse backgrounds, how to make friends, and how understand, label, and express feelings. Some students struggle more with this than others. I want to have these books, art supplies, and role-playing toys to make learning these skills meaningful through hands on learning.
An example is we might read a story about being angry, discuss together what that feeling looks and sounds like when we feel it, and then use creativity to express that feeling through art.
