I work with 4th grade students who are struggling in Reading and Math. I usually see the students for 30 minutes in Reading and 30 minutes for Math on a daily basis. I use many instructional resources such as the technology, online games, and intervention programs (Soar to Success, Readworks, Storyworks). The one resource my students love is called the Eggspert Game System. It is very similar to a buzzard game. The students each gets a color. The students are given a question on a topic or concept they are learning and I give them ample time to answer the question. When I see that everyone is finished, I tell them to buzz in their answer. Whoever buzzez in first, gets a point for that question. In this game there is also an option for the game to pick a color on the system so my students know that their color may come up so they have to try their hardest to answer the question correctly.
