The students in my Pre-K program come from impoverished backgrounds. Most of the students have never had the opportunity to ride a tricycle, drive a Little Tykes car, play with a hula hoop or outdoor games. In addition, many of our students need assistance in developing their gross motor skills so we provide them with such things as balance beams, balls for learning how to kick, etc. Currently our toys have to be stored outside and our school is located in a high crime area. We have recently had a few of our toys vandalized. In addition, we are running out of room to store the toys in our small playground area. This storage shed will provide the protection needed to allow us to provide our students these opportunities while keeping our equipment safe.
