I would love to have Chromebooks available in the classroom, as we only have a limited number of computers available for all of the students in our school.
For this reason, I often must avoid doing lessons where everyone is required to be on a computer at the same time. I believe that in this day and age computer skills are a necessity and I want to expose students to technology as much as possible.
In Language Arts, we are reading, writing, typing and researching on a daily basis. Students especially enjoy our poetry unit where they are able to explore various types of poems; concrete, acrostic, haiku and even create their own word cloud poetry online. Having a class set of Chromebooks would help us get our work done quicker, better and in more fun and interactive ways!
